The characters vary from series to series often, but the historical context remains the same; these series are being held in the same universe, according to a very precise timeline.
Series that are held in alternative universes include : Mobile Fighter G Gundam ,Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing : Endless Waltz, After War Gundam X, Turn A Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny. These series do not fit into the UC universe at all and also have no relation to one another.
