   A boy who hold the fate of the world between his hands.
Kira is a first-generation Coordinator,which means his parents are Naturals. When he was student of robotics on the neutral colony Heliopolis, he finds himself, by an extraordinary set of circumstances, in command of the Strike Gundam, belonging to the Earth forces. Forced to battle against his fellow Coordinators, he becomes a traitor in their eyes.
He also suffers as a result of having to fight his best friend Athrun, knowing it will only cause mistrust and hatred of the Naturals.
He is sometimes inattentive but he remains a good boy. He knew how to find courage to fight to protect his friends.
