Mitsuo Fukuda
Born in 1960 in the Tochigi prefecture, he started to work
for Sunrise in 1980 working on The Unchallangeable TRIDER
G7, by participating in design work. After several years
he rose in the company, he designed the scenery for certain
episodes of Majin Hero Wataru in 1989 before directing Future
GPX Cyber Formula, grand winner of the Anime Grand Prix
1991. Mobile Suit Gundam Seed is the second series he has
directed to win this prestigious prize.
Hisashi Hirai
He began his career in 1985 with the TV series called Chôjûkishin
Dancougar (Dancougar), participating in a variety of other
series such as Mr. Ajikko in 1987, Majin Hero Wataru the
year after and Future GPX Cyber Formula in 1991, before
becoming the character designer for Infinite Ryvius in 1999,
which would help to better define his style. After Mobile
Suit Gundam Seed in 2002, he designed the characters for
Soukyuu no Fafner in 2004 before beginning work on the new
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed ; Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny.
Toshihiko Sahashi
Born on the 12th of November 1959 in Tokyo, he gained a
diploma in 1986 from the University of Art in Tokyo for
music composition. In 1988, he gained various prizes for
music, before directing his musical talents towards Tokyo
Disneyland for several years. Other than this he has also
worked on many compositions for television and Japanese
cinema productions, some works in the Japanese animation
scene including Future GPX Cyber Formula Saga and
Cyber Formula Sin, Full Metal Panic, The Big O and Gunslinger
Girl.
Kimitoshi Yamane
Began his career of designing mecha at studio Artmic where,
with Shinji Aramaki and Rei Yumeno, he designed the mechas
for series like Bubblegum Crisis, AD Police, Gall Force
and Megazone 23. After the disbanding of that studio, he
launched his carrier as a freelance and participated in
several series as a mecha designer, including series like
Detonator Orgun, Argento Soma, Mobile Suit Gundam The 08th
MS Team, Vision of Escaflowne, Infinite Ryvius, Mobile Fighter
G Gundam, Hades Project Zeorymer and more recently, Starship
Operators.
